CBL’s mission is to provide comprehensive garden design and landscape management services that fulfill the needs of our clients. Our extensive background in architectural design, natural sciences, and plant horticulture allows our company to develop unique landscape designs that are tailored specifically to the style of the home, the character of the property, and the individual tastes of each client. We design innovative California gardens that include outdoor rooms such as pools, spas, outdoor kitchens, entertaining/dining/lounge areas, as well as patios, trellises, and fireplaces. We are also design unique water elements that include fountains, ponds, streams, and pondless waterfalls.

We create and help maintain sustainable ‘green’ CA gardens that are not only lush and beautiful, but also significantly reduce our clients’ water use. CBL can design drought tolerant gardens in almost any style including (but not limited to) tropical, sub-tropical, modern, forest, dry gardens, succulent, Japanese, English, French, Mediterranean (Spanish, Italian, Mid-eastern, Australian, and California native). We do this by employing the most efficient irrigation and lighting systems, as well as by installing water conserving, wildlife-friendly plant palettes. We also promote the use of green landscape materials, organic fertilizers, as well as non-toxic pest control methods that increase health and vitality of our customer’s gardens.
